Triple Positive + + + Hat
This design ( + + + ) represents triple positive breast cancer. Triple positive breast cancer (+++) is positive for the estrogen and progesterone receptors and HER-2 protein. This piece was designed to encourage conversation, spread awareness and give back. I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer at age 28 and believe we can save lives when we share our stories.
The right side of the hat reads “on to live” in my handwriting. I was introduced to the phrase “SURVIVRE” early on in my cancer journey. When SURVIVRE (French for survive) is broken down to its root words, sur means ‘on’ and vivre means ‘to live.” On to live. Onward.
